When this review appears
Shown for OFL fonts in Distributed binary, Library or SDK, and Mixed. Actual duties depend on font redistribution; renaming depends on Reserved Font Names and permission.
Before you acknowledge
- Check whether font files actually ship with your product or SDK. If they do, include the copyright notice and OFL text and do not sell the font on its own.
- If you modify the font, check whether upstream declares Reserved Font Names. A modified font must avoid those names unless the copyright holder grants permission to use them.
- Acknowledge after meeting the applicable OFL terms, or after confirming that you do not redistribute the font.
Reserved Font Names are names expressly declared by the copyright holder, not every original font name or trademark. If no Reserved Font Name is declared, this condition does not require renaming a modified font. If a name is reserved, permission from the copyright holder may allow its continued use.
