What the statuses mean

← All articles

Needs review, Approved, and Parked are review states. Live, Missing text, and Missing obligation are publish states. Only Live packages appear publicly.

Compliance totals and publication readiness are shown only after the complete current inventory has been checked. Loading, updating, or a failed check does not mean zero packages or a ready project. Retry a failed summary without importing again. Approving a license group starts background work: rows update as approvals finish, and Activity records the final result.

Review status

  • Needs review. Imported but not yet looked at.
  • Approved. You've accepted this package for publishing.
  • Parked. It needs something (e.g. a legal answer) before you decide.

Publish state

  • Live. Approved and complete; it will appear on the public page.
  • Missing text. Approved, but the license text still needs attaching.
  • Missing obligation. Approved, but an external obligation isn't acknowledged yet.
Only Live packages appear on the public page. An approved package that's still Missing text or Missing obligation will block publishing until you finish it or un-approve it. Packages that still need review stay off the page too. By default Publish warns you about them (Publish anyway / Cancel / See missing). Turn on Require full inventory review in project settings to hard-block until every Production package is Live.
